Ahhh, a full day of pampering, spectacular food, the finest teas and rubbing elbows with like-minded spa gourmands. Now that’s what I’m talking about it. On Saturday, Oct. 28, as part of the 5th Annual Scottsdale Celebrity Chef Golf & Spa Invitational presented by Bon Apptit Magazine, Spa Avania at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort is hosting a day of rejuvenation for body, soul and palate. And while the $300 price tag may seem hefty, here’s just a taste of what the day includes: two lavish spa treatments, a yoga session with yoga pioneer Bija Bennett, a sublime spa lunch hosted by Bon Appetit executive editor Victoria von Biel, a rare tea tasting and a tea-martini cocktail reception hosted by Bon Apptit associate editor Andrew Knowlton and president of Mitea Rare Teas Rodrick Markus. In between the day’s activities, you can doggy paddle in the French Celtic mineral pool, cuddle up with a good book in any one of the indoor and outdoor relaxation nooks or make use of the steam and sauna rooms and outdoor hot and cold plunge pools. The event is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and each precious spot is limited. A portion of the proceeds to benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation. And yes, I’ll be there. This is my kind of party folks.
