Made for expecting moms but perfect for anyone with severely dry hands and feet, Noodle & Boo The Balm truly is the bomb!
There were a lot of possible scenarios and symptoms I prepared myself for, thanks to movies and overheard chatter from friends, going into this pregnancy: Stretch marks, morning sickness, mood swings, frequent bathroom trips, cravings and the list goes on. One thing, however, I was not expecting was severe dry skin. I am not sure if I just blocked that out amidst all the warnings or truly was blindsided, but man! My poor hands and feet are in serious need of moisture these days and not just the average wintertime TLC – I have never seen my poor cuticles so dry before.
Cue Noodle & Boo The Balm.
This long-lasting hand and foot cream from Noodle & Boo is perfect for those cracked and dry hands and feet that, by the way, take much more of a beating than I ever realized throughout this process. The combination of shea butter and sunflower oil – did your skin just say ahhh too? – provides a fabulous moisture-rich cream that leaves your skin silky smooth. While the bilberry, lemon, orange sugar cane and sugar maple extracts go to work gently exfoliating rough, tired skin. Sensitive skin? Fear not! This little wonder combo is hypoallergenic and formulated to cater to sensitivity.
The scent is light and airy so I am not overwhelmed by perfumes all day – I did know that my nose would be in overdrive for the majority of my pregnancy (although I have really just begun noticing it these last few weeks) so this is very much appreciated! And the packaging is beyond cute! I don’t know about you, but my pretty bottles, jars and tubes get featured on the counter top while the others are left to the dark confines of my cabinets. The delicate, and yes – pink, packaging design for this jar has landed this jar a proud position right next to the sink which conveniently helps me remember to lather up morning and night. Plus, I am a sucker for a good product package. So, even if Liv Tyler, Gwenyth Paltrow, Kourtney Kardashian and Selma Blair didn’t recommend Noodle & Boo, I would probably have been drawn to at least give it a try.
Struggling with stretch marks or carrying multiples? They also have a lotion/oil combination that is heavenly on stretch-prone areas. Start with the Noodle & Boo Elasticity Oil ($34), which, as the name insinuates, helps enhance skins elasticity. Follow up with Noodle & Boo Perfecting Crème ($42) to reduce and minimize the appearance of stretch marks. Both, like The Balm, have a light, airy scent but are moisture-rich.
Noodle & Boo The Balm is available for $24 at noodleandboo.com.
