I am always on the lookout for new beauty products to test drive and when it comes to makeup, I’m willing to give anything a shot if it A) helps me achieve a desired look or B) simplifies my beauty routine. Enter Mally Beauty! Developed by celeb makeup artist Mally Roncal, the Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, Evercolor Shadow Stick and Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner do both of these things.
The first pretty little item to meet my vanity was the Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender. This product claims to replace your translucent powder without the cakey look and feel. It instantly scored some major brownie points when I opened the box to reveal a pretty pink compact. But even better was what was inside. It’s a gel-like powder with an over-sized triangle sponge. A few dabs in the product and some presses onto your skin, and your makeup is set! It makes your makeup collaboration complete and flawless.
I have to admit, I typically skip the powder step in my makeup routine because I can feel it clogging my pores and sucking the moisture form my skin. But Mally’s powder doesn’t do this. At first I wasn’t sure if it was going on because it is truly translucent and so lightweight. But after a day of work, errands and a quick happy hour with the girls, the proof was there on my face.
No blush reapplication during the day. No sad, tired looking spots on my forehead. Nope – my makeup looked just as it had that morning.
Next up, the Mally Beauty Evercolor Shadow Stick. Of all the products in my makeup bag, my eye shadows are the absolute favorite. I admittedly go heavy on the lids when applying makeup, but I can never seem to get those defining shapes like you see in pictures. Well now I can.
The shadow stick is just like it sounds – eye shadow in stick form. Having mastered the art of applying eyeliner, it was a simple jump to drawing on my eye shadow. The sticks are wide enough to apply a full swipe of color but not so big that it provides an overbearing look. After applying color the way you want, you just smudge it with your finger to set it.
Then there is the Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner. I’ve played with my fair share of eyeliners and recently landed on a felt-tip liquid liner and swore to die by it. But this liner made me question my strictly liquid ways. It provides a sharp, clean line with minimal smudging – the two things I could never achieve with a pencil liner. With its undeniable enhancements to a variety of looks, this pencil has found a permanent home among my eye makeup must-haves.
