After painting our lashes with the pricier sphere-shaped application brush from Givenchy, we couldn’t wait to see how the new L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Explosion Mascara stacked up. Completely different from your ordinary mascara wand, the brush first gained a following in Europe and looks like a ball covered in itty-bitty spikes. Its spherical shape makes it possible to swipe on mascara vertically, horizontally and even behind eyelashes from root to tip without clumping or smudging on the lash line. What’s also genius about the L’Oreal Flexi-Globe brush is that the flexible wand easily bends to cover each and every tiny hair. If you’re getting ready for a big event, the pint-sized sphere intricately coats larger lashes and even hard-to-reach corner lashes but only covers a specific area at a time, which can make application tedious and more time consuming compared to a few quick swipes with a normal brush. To speed things up during hectic mornings, we like to lightly coat eyelashes with regular mascara then dab the Telescopic Explosion ball in the corners of eyes over minuscule baby lashes that vertical brush can’t reach. The Telescopic Explosion sphere gets into both upper and lower corners and discovers even the tiniest lashes we never knew were there. Plus it covers right up to the lash line without creating a goopy black mess and defines and separates for a thicker-looking lash line. We also like Telescopic Explosion’s smooth formula because it mimics a watery tint that leaves only sheer deposits of color so you won’t run into clumping or blotches of excess formula on lids on under eyes. It also contains plumping properties and is made from a soft-wax system of paraffin, jojoba oil, palm oil and Pro-Vitamin B5 to condition and combat brittleness and is ophthalmologist and allergy tested for even the most sensitive eyes. The mascara lasts throughout the day without flaking and irritating and comes in black and extra-sultry inky black shades. The new L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara will be available in the U.S. this November at most drug and mass market stores for about $9.49. Keep an eye out for more info at lorealparisusa.com.
