I don’t know about you, but I feel a billion times more beautiful when I am tan. I’m not sure if it’s my skin tone or hair color, but I definitely can’t rock the pasty sultry look like Twilight beauty Kristin Stewart. I also have a mega-fear of skin cancer (and you should too!) so heading out to the pool to catch some 120-degree UV rays isn’t going to happen unless I’ve got loads of SPF 30 and a hat.
Thank goodness for alternative tanning options. I have tried just about every self-tanning cream, foam and gel since college in an effort to get the perfect shade of non-orange tan. In my quest, I haven’t found many products that thrill me, until I came across Tantasia, a self-tanning cream from Jane Iredale.
Tantasia is a moisturizing, natural bronzer and self-tanner for the face and body. It gives your skin a natural glow (in the perfect shade!) instantly, and then continues to build up into a gradual, natural-looking tan within three days, allowing you to totally customize and control your results. You actually apply it just like you would a normal body lotion. The million dollar question: No, it doesn’t stink! It actually smells quite yummy with hints of citrus. It doesn’t go on streaky because it naturally hydrates skin when you apply, and it’s even great for sensitive skin.
It’s best to wait about 20 minutes before getting dressed after using Tantasisa to make sure you don’t transfer the bronzer to your clothing.
Tantasia is the perfect solution for me to use in-between my airbrush tans at Mozaik Skin & Body to make my tan last longer. Plus, it travels well — pop it in your bag and take it on your next trip to make sure you stay beautifully bronzed the entire time.
Buy Tantasia for $36 at the Willow Stream spa boutique at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess or nordstrom.com.
