Favorite finds from the International SPA Association’s 2011 Conference and Expo
Your dedicated Spa Girls team was hard at work last week during the ISPA 2011 Conference in Las Vegas! We came prepared with pen and paper in-hand, wearing our most stylish thinking caps, to trek through the tradeshow floor in search of the best and most exciting beauty products we could find. Hold on to your spa sandals girls, because 2012 is going to be a fun ride. Here are our picks for the best new beauty and spa products in 2012 (and some oldie favorites, too).
New Products from ISPA 2011
21 Drops – Full disclosure here…the first thing that drew us to 21 Drop’s booth was its super cute packaging. A girl just can’t resist a gem tone color palette! Our conversation with owner Cary Caster revealed a whole other reason for obsession – 100% natural, wild-crafted aromatherapy. 21 Drops is a thoroughly modern line of therapeutic-grade essential oils with scents for our most annoying ailments like hangover, PMS and heavy heart. Nutralenda – Nutralenda Nutraceuticals develops personal care products that are made from completely natural plant-based ingredients, specifically the Calendula plant. This pretty little flower has a ton of health benefits. It can treat acne, help speed up the healing of minor cuts, and even reduce inflammation and control bleeding. Nutralenda has a line of vitamins and supplements with Calendula as its base ingredient. Talk about flower power! More at nutralenda.com.
South Seas – What’s good for the celebrities on “Dancing with the Stars” must be good for all, right? We fell head over ballroom heels for South Seas’ line of spray tanning and body care products. They’re all paraben free and eco-friendly. Plus, the company has developed a super high-quality, fast-drying mix of ingredients so your spray tan won’t rub off onto your clothes or bedsheets. You can literally spray and go. (Bonus: the sunscreen and moisturizing products smell divine!) More at southseasskincare.com.
ISPA 2011’s Classics that Still Pack a Beauty Punch
Anything by Eminence – Yes, it’s impossible to flip through a spa and beauty magazine without seeing an Eminence ad or product review, but there’s a reason for that. Eminence Organic Skin Care has always been a Spa Girls favorite and we don’t see that changing any time soon. Every mask, serum, cream and lotion is amazingly lovely. Right now we’re especially crushing on the Eminence Sweet Cheeks Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant because of how radiant it makes our skin. (Plus, the president of the company, Boldijarre Koronczay, gives the best hugs ever.) More at eminenceorganics.com.
Farmhouse Fresh Goods – Oprah named it one of her favorite things in 2007. We’ve been in love with Farmhouse Fresh Goods since we first took a long, deep whiff of their goods years ago at a local spa. Their collection of good-for-you lotions, cleansers, buffs and face masks smell so good, you’ll have to remind yourself they’re not dessert. The Whoopie! Cream moisturizer continues to mesmerize us. Trust us, narrowing down this list to just five was pretty tough. We had an amazing time at ISPA 2011 and came home with a ton of knowledge that we can’t wait to incorporate into future posts!
