We got the inside scoop on how celebrity stylist David Babaii created Angelina Jolie’s look for the Los Angeles premiere of her hubby Brad Pitt’s new flick Inglourious Basterds.
To give her long tresses a naturally tousled appeal, David slathered a healthy dose of his signature Hair Polish ($9.95) from root to tip followed by spray of Volcanic Ash Root Amplifier ($12.95) for lift and volume. Next, he parted Angie’s hair into three sections (his secret for expertly styled hair). Concentrating on one section at a time, he used his supercharged Blow Dryer ($99.95) with the direct styling nozzle attachment and a large round brush to smooth and straighten while drying. After Angelina’s hair was completely dry, he separated it into large sections and wrapped each one around the same round brush used for styling. While keeping hair coiled around the brush, David blasted it with the hot blow dryer for 10 seconds then hit the cool button for a quick shot of cold air to set each section. After styling each area with a hot and cold burst, he carefully released hair from the brush and repeated for all-over lose waves. To keep her tresses looking red carpet chic through the night, he topped off her look with a light mist of Mise en Plis Light Styling Spray ($12.95).
