My new obsession is sugar scrubs and I have Tree Hut to thank for that. If you haven’t been exfoliating, it’s life changing and you must stop whatever you’re doing and go exfoliate immediately.
Exfoliating has tons of benefits — it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (any woman’s arch-nemesis) unclogs pores, improves the texture of dull skin and helps to keep skin healthy. It will also help retain that gorgeous tan you’ve been working on if you exfoliate before rubbing on your sunscreen. I exfoliate every day even though the “experts” seem to be divided on this issue. Some say it’s good to exfoliate daily while others claim it’s best to exfoliate once or twice a week. If you haven’t figured it out, I march to the beat of my own drum and I often want to yell “NO WIRE HANGERS!”
I digress. I took a look at the ingredients in my normal exfoliating scrub and I had a mini heart attack! Nitrosamines? What on earth is that and why is it in my scrub? I did some research on organic/green salt scrubs and they were shockingly expensive. That is when I was introduced to Tree Hut’s Shea Sugar Scrub. For around $6, this scrub transformed my skin! The Coconut Extract and Shea Butter left my skin feeling smoother than it ever has been! This scrub didn’t melt too quickly in the shower and as I rubbed it into my skin it provided a gentle yet deep exfoliation. The coconut lime scent wasn’t overpowering and relaxed me to the point I could of sworn I was in Cancun lying on the beach while a hot cabana boy was mixing margaritas. That might be dramatic but you get the point.
They have other great scents too such as Brazilian Nut, Hawaiian Kukui (another fave) and Almond Honey. Tree Hut’s Shea Sugar Body Scrub is definitely a great value and I would recommend it to anyone!
