As tempting as it might be, resist the urge to grab a spoon and a glass of milk when you get your first taste of this facial treatment mask. Trust me, you don’t want to eat it. New from the innovators of deliciously fresh skin and body care, Farmhouse Fresh Sundae Best Chocolate Softening Mask is more transformative than it might sound. We’ve had a love affair with Farmhouse Fresh for a while but this little jar of loveliness might just take the cake.
This lusciously thick mask is not for the faint of heart or super sensitive skin types. The chocolate pudding-like texture is so tantalizing and the aroma so beguiling that you might think this all fluff and no function. Oh fear not my lovely Spa Girls, this active mask is loaded with powerhouse enzymes and delivers on its promise to super-charge your skin.
Paraben and sulfate-free, the Farmhouse Fresh Sundae Best Chocolate Softening Mask is 98% natural and contains a host of skin purifying and nourishing ingredients including kaolin and bentonite clays, coenzyme Q10, ginseng extract, live carrot cells, cocoa, honey, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and macadamia oil. The jojoba, macadamia and almond oils soothe, moisturize and calm skin, while coenzyme Q10, ginseng extracts and live carrot cells are powerful antioxidants that help with healthy skin function. Oh, and did I mention vitamins A, C and E? Yep, they’re in there too.
This is a once-a-week type mask. I like to do a home spa facial on Sundays so the “Sundae Best” couldn’t have fit any better into my weekend routine. Start by cleansing your skin and then apply a thin layer of the mask. Resist the urge to layer it on too thickly. I like to cover my jawbone and most of my neck. You’ll feel a little tingle as the mask dries. Leave it on for about 15 minutes or until it’s fully dry. Because clay masks are a little trickier to remove, I run a soft washcloth under warm water, squeeze out the excess water and place it over my face for a few seconds to loosen up the mask. Once I had the brown remnants thoroughly removed, my face had a slight flush and my skin was pleasantly taut but not tight. My skin felt clean and looked plumped and nourished.
After that lovely ritual, all I can say is: Bring it Monday.
Available at select spas and online at farmhousefreshgoods.com, Farmhouse Fresh Sundae Best Chocolate Softening Mask retails for $20.
