I was just introduced to one of the most amazing lines of haircare products I’ve ever come in contact with: Cureology. Admittedly, one of the only things in my beauty regimen that I haven’t been able to give up and “go green” with (until now) is my haircare products.
I have thin hair that I color every few weeks and I’ve been struggling a bit with finding the right organically based color care shampoos, conditioners and hair styling products that aren’t harmful to me or the environment. Cureology solved this problem!
The line of products honestly blew me away. Typically when I try any organic haircare product, I am left wanting something more. But the clean and fragrant aroma of Cureology, coupled with the fact that it was so effective in making my hair sleek and healthy, made me wonder where Cureology had been all my life!
Cureology has an extensive line of products to choose from and each product line has a strong and empowering name.
Courage: This is the volumizing line. I used the shampoo, conditioner and volumizing spritz, all of which gave my hair great body.
Endurance: This is the color care line. I used the shampoo and conditioner, and it held on to my color longer than my more expensive salon brand.
Serenity: This is the smoothing line. I used the smoothing gloss and was incredibly shocked by how well it worked. I’ve been using the same smoothing gloss for years and this is just as comparable but it smells much better!
Illumination: This is the shine line (say that five times fast!). I used the shine mist and my hair looked healthy and shiny without the greasy feeling I sometimes get from other brands.
So, you may be asking yourself, “Why Cureology?”
Besides the obvious benefits like being 100 percent free of phosphates, fillers, parabens and harmful petrochemicals, Cureology also gives back by donating a portion of sales to various charities like the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Their products are never tested on animals, so they’re cruelty-free, too.
Quick Tip: Because I am concerned about color care and volume, I mixed the color care shampoo and volumizing shampoo (same with the conditioner). My suggestion is if your hair is on the thinner side to either use the smoothing gloss or the shine mist. Don’t use both because it can pull your hair down and ruin your volume. You’ll end up looking greasy by the end of the day.
