Cool product alert! We recently came across Boo-Boo Cover-Up during one of our intensive searches for the coolest new beauty products to hit the shelves. When we found Boo-Boo Cover-Up, we immediately loved the idea. The product promises to “conceal while you heal” and it’s loaded with ingredients to help all sorts of skin ailments, so you can avoid using a Band-Aid or gooey ointment.
But how well would it actually work? We did some field-testing to bring you the honest-to-goodness scoop. Here’s the report from two Spa Girls.
Spa Girl #1 – Alexis: I gave the product a run for its money when I used it to cover up a burn on my stomach that I got when I managed to dump a cup of boiling hot water on myself (smooth, I know!). The directions for Boo-Boo tell you not to apply to open wounds, so I gave my burn a few days and then gave it shot. I squeezed a dime-sized amount of Boo-Boo onto my finger and then applied it in a circular motion onto my burn. Knowing that the product has some natural healing medication built it, I sort of expected it to sting a little, but it did not irritate my skin at all. It blended in smoothly but the dime-sized amount wasn’t quite enough to achieve coverage, so I added a bit more. The result was a significantly diminished burn mark and no pain or uncomfortable bandages!
Spa Girl #2 – Melissa: I tried Boo-Boo (I love the name!!) on a scar on my arm. It’s not that big of a scar, but it seriously bugs me when I’m dressed up or just wearing anything that shows my arms, which in Arizona, is every day! The product feels super creamy and not at all slick or oily like some typical liquid concealer products. It goes on very light, so if you have pretty serious discoloring you’ll need to use a little extra. For my scar, it worked like magic. I just used a little bit and it rubbed right in and helped hide the mark just enough to make me feel much more comfortable!
Success! Boo-Boo Cover-Up is packed with goodies for your skin such as aloe, chamomile, green tea, tea tree oil and vitamin E.
