Department store beauty counters fluster me. Don't get me wrong, I love dabbling in the latest lotions and potions but I can't help feeling a twinge of guilt bugging the salespeople when I know I have no intentions of making a purchase (until I get to the shoe department anyway). That's why the new European Beauty Collection found exclusively at Walgreens has me stoked (yes, Walgreens drugstores). An entire self-help aisle dedicated to high quality body and skincare lines from Europe. Already a hit with forward-thinking Europeans, the seven collections represent the best in beauty from Switzerland, Greece, France and Germany. I'm partial to the Spa Aquatique lineup imported from France spa-quality treatments rich in marine botanicals harvested off the Brittany coast. But the ARTDECO All In One Manicure, Red Water Body Firming Cream with Mushroom and La Fleur Organique Tired Skin Booster are also among my favorites. Products range from $13 to $40 and are rolling out in select Walgreens across the country (Phoenix/Scottsdale, New York and San Francisco among them). Testers, samples, information panels and even signature shopping bags round out the delightful experience. Visit the interactive European Beauty Collection website or buy products at Walgreens.com.
